When Life Gets A Little Crazy...

Hey Everyone,
So we hope you all had a good holiday. Like all holidays some things work and other stuff gets so messed up you just want to dip in to the eggnog a few extra times!.
We planned to have holiday posts: our staff xmas party,top resolutions;boxing day madness and other events that were going on around town but  some technical difficulties-(like all the photos got eaten during the download..arghhh) and a few other things that were beyond our control prevented us from posting.

But all the things that didn't work got me thinking about all the stuff that did work and how a few seemingly small things always seem to come through  and make life during those stressful times a little bit more manageable.

Aside from family, friends and staff here are a few of my favorite ,bullet-proof always comes through for me stuff!

                                                    Dave's Masala Marinara

I found this gem 2 months ago at Costco. Its a lovely fusion of Italian marinara and South East Asian flavors all of which you can pronounce! Really! Think tomatoes,coconut milk,ginger,lime, lemongrass...and it's gluten-free! Yum
I like to add a good pinch of cumin and throw it over some some veggies and chick peas for a healthy soul- satisfying meal that you could actually pass off as your own! I've tried other Dave products but for me this one is the best!

   
                                                 

                                         Nars Powder Blush In Orgasm

It's a little pricey but thankfully cheeks are small and when i've gone white with the horror of a computer meltdown  this lovely gem of a blush has a super pretty pinkish hue with just enough of a golden sheen to make me look like all is well with the world. (a little denial can be a good thing:)Ask Sephora for a free sample-they are great for that!

One of my favorite apps in the whole-wide world is songza. I love the concierge on this app who knows what day it is and asks if you want music to ease in to your day or save the world. You can explore your "moods" and choose whatever it is that you need at the moment. Even the weather doesn't escape Songza's ambitious range.Right now I'm listening to Winter Unplugged..thanks Songza

I actually just found this game but holy addiction i love it.I appreciate the sheer simplicity of the game setup-no complicated rules to get in the way of actually playing! Then for as many minutes as possible all you have  to worry about is moving blocks as best as you can.Its like nasal spray for the brain-clears out all that nasty stuff that may be congesting your head space! Then the best part of all-if the blocks tumble you can just start a new game and start building.A metaphor for life you say...well you can decide .I hear there is also a drinking version. Either way i highly recommend it!


                                                                  Hot Yoga

Hot yoga is like the big sister i never had..the one that says uh huh..you want to control everything do you...get all this stuff done by when???? So hows that working out for ya?
And then with a big smile she invites me to slow down,breathe,accept with all the loving kindness i can muster the endless possibilities of being open to what we can and cannot change.
Ya i know it might sound a little corny but i got to tell you it seems to work- the endorphin rush alone could rival the nars orgasm blush sans blush:)
